A finely painted Moroccan occasional table of octagonal form,incorporating interlacing geometric motifs derived from the enduring traditions of Islamic design. The top is centred by a complex star pattern enclosed within a series of finely balanced borders, while the sides incorporate turned spindle galleries, open lattice panels and Moorish arches, all executed in a vibrant palette of cobalt blue, vermilion, ochre, ivory and black.
