Naturalistically modelled terracotta figure depicting a seated dog with an alert yet slightly plaintive expression, finely detailed muzzle, ears and paws. The surface retains its original cold-painted decoration in muted tones, enhancing the lifelike character. Finished with a moulded collar detail to the neck.

A charming and expressive sculptural study, typical of Austrian and Central European animal models of the early 20th century, well suited to display on a console, shelf or desk.
